Woolmarket House was built as a merchant's house during the mid-15th century. The house has been renovated recently and adapted to accommodate guests. It is the perfect location to discover the rich architectural history of this under-appreciated Hanseatic League port. For visitors who enjoy a country house, there are three of the great houses of Norfolk nearby. The Sandringham Estate, and Houghton Hall are just a fifteen-minute drive into west Norfolk, and twenty-minutes further on is Holkham Hall on the north coast. All three are surrounded by unspoiled countryside and within easy reach of north Norfolk’s beautiful beaches.

REVIEW
We spent a few days there in the Merchants Room and enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was grand and exceedingly comfortable. The location close to Tuesday Market Place in the town centre , enabled us to explore the town on foot. Breakfast each day was delicious, a feast to anticipate that set us up for the day's adventures.
